1910s, trio of covers incl. 1915 (6.6) registered AR envelope to London franked 5s and two 10s tied by
two fine Japanese Tamsui dates tamps, three red AR handstamps, Yokohama registration label added in
transit, reverse with Registered London arrival backstamp of 5 AU, some slight toning around perfs and
the 5s small closed tear at bottom left, a very rare desirable example of Advice of Receipt mail, and two
envelopes to London, one franked 2s and 8s tied single Japanese Tamsui date stamp, the other a single
franking 10s with similar cancel, both good clean legible examples, the 8s uncommon on cover from here.

at Yokohama cancelled by small straight-line SHIP handstamp with Yokohama Japan cds to left,
without backstamps.

many forgeries of the dragon and cherry blossom issues, but also a number of genuine ones; a great
study lot with the chance of discoveries, stamps in usual mixed condition.

1872-88, lot of 46 genuine classic stamps, mainly used, incl. 1872 Dragon 1/2s plate II (2 different
shades) and 1s pl.II (Mi. €550) all in very fine unused condition (stuck to page), very fine 1874 6s
brown violet pl.16 with interesting postmark, very fine 1874 20s pl.5 with Kiban pmk of Oita (Bungo
province) and Eichhorn cert., a nice selection of the Koban issue incl. a fine example of 1877 30s violet,
mixed condition, an interesting lot.
