Collection: 1928-39 An exceptional and highly specialised collection of Zeppelin flights, neatly

mounted and meticulously written up across more than 360 album pages, housed in five large ring

binders. This impressive assembly demonstrates particular strength in the 1928–1932 period, with a

remarkable showing of Deutsche Luftschiff Zeppelin Flight No. 127, comprising over 270 documented

flights. Included are many of the scarcer and most sought-after voyages, such as the Chicago Flight, the

Polar Flight, the Arctic Flight, the America Flight, the Orient Flight, and the World Circuit Flight.

The collection boasts extensive worldwide coverage, with frankings from an outstanding range of

countries including Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Danzig, Egypt, Great Britain, Greece (and

Greek Islands), Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Paraguay, Russia, Saar, Spain, Switzerland, and

Uruguay, among others.

In addition, strong representation is given to Deutsche Luftschiff Zeppelin Flights No. 129 and 130, with

68 and 26 flights respectively recorded. Complementing the flown covers are a variety of related items

such as stamps, postcards, and Zeppelin memorabilia, enhancing both the philatelic and historical

value of the holding.

This is truly a wonderful and comprehensive assembly, combining depth, rarity, and breadth of coverage.

It offers enormous potential for further study and research and serves as an excellent foundation for

expansion. A collection of this calibre and scope is seldom offered and will appeal greatly to the serious

Zeppelin or airmail enthusiast.
