1853 1c vermilion (original printing) unused, pos.3, with tight margins but clear all around, fresh vibrant

colour, a very fine example of an extremely scarce unused stamp (we have recorded only 6 examples in

very fine or better condition) (S.G. £7’500).

1853-59 1d dull red (type A) with fine strike of the “A 5 C” cds of Sparta (with “6” of “1856” added

in manuscript), just cut into in places, heavy hinge with some wrinkling and minor creasing, a scarce

stamp (S.G. £2’250).

1860-63 1c pale rose mint lower left corner marginal showing perforation variety due to the corner

folding over before perforation leaving the lower left corner imperf., very fine and rare stamp especially

with this variety (S.G. £3’500+).

3-margin used, 1853-59 4c with cleaned pen cancel and a defective used, a range of the perf. issues

with shades, cancellation interest (town cancels, red cancels, “5” accountancy, etc.), several unused/

mint, a nice lot of these issues.
