Italian registered date stamps, handstamped registration label, violet censor and unframed A.V.2 hand-

stamp, at left Egyptian censor tape and cachets, Rome arrival backstamp, horizontal and vertical creasing.

1946 (13 SP) registered cover to Mahe, Seychelles franked E.A.F. 2d and pair 9d tied by single Mogadishu

C cds, manuscript “Gone Away” and “Returned to sender” in violet plus large blue “RETURNED TO

SENDER”, the return address of the sender has been altered from Mogadishu to Rome, the reverse

shows many different cancels with Aden transit (21 Sep), Nairobi transit (24 SEP), Victoria Seychelles

arrival (OC 7), returned with Nairobi transit (12 NO), Mogadishu R.L.O. cancels 15, 17 and 20 NO and

final 28 MR/ 47 cds, Napoli transits 15.4.47; fine and unusual
