1911 Second German Antarctic Expedition, postcard with Falkland Islands KEVII 1d tied by South
Georgia cds as well as the expedition vignette tied by “Polarschiff Deutschland / Süd Georgien /
Grytyiken / 30. November 1911” to Hamburg. The card was written and signed by expedition leader
Wilhelm Filchner and several other crew members to the recipient Ballin, Hamburg. A rare historical
document for the polar or Falklands collector.
