1915-41 Sacred Cows group of stamps incl. Official 5r scarlet and emerald S.G. O27A unused (S.G.

£550) and S.G.O27B unused (pulled perf at top) (S.G. £500), Official 1/2a black unused rouletted in

colour, type E, with O1 small native overprint in green applied sideways (S.G. O33bA £500), Official

1915-41, 10a yellow-orange unused, type C, with O2 small English overprint in black (thin) (S.G. O21B

£200), 4a olive-yellow shade, rouletted in colour, type C, unused (S.G. 41a £200), etc., a great little lot

for the specialist (28 stamps).

with a variety of frankings, different cancels incl. negative seals, manuscript, thumb-prints, etc., incl.

two Court Fee documents, a nice lot for the specialist to study.

1914-41 Sacred Cows: group of forgeries mounted on three pages and two loose items, with Officials

incl. Type F1 forgery Official 2 1/2a chrome-yellow, rouletted in colour, type A, with genuine O1 small

native overprint in black on reverse, in re-joined part unused sheet of three (SG O2a), Type F1 forgery,

Official 6a cobalt (SG O4aA) and 4a yellow-green (SG O19bA), rouletted in colour, with genuine O1 small

native overprint in red, and Type F2 forgery on Official 4a yellow-green (SG O19B) and 12a sage-green

(SG O22B), rouletted in colour, with genuine O1 small English overprint in black (unlisted by Benns),

and normal postage issues incl. Type F1 forgery, a purported proof from the master die, imperforate

showing blank tablet, in olive-yellow on thin wove paper, the design and impression is linked it to the

known forgeries, and Type F1 forgery, 2a emerald, rouletted in colour, type C, complete unused sheet

of four; a scarce group for the specialist.

Note: The type F1 forgeries are known to have been distributed as new issues supplied by the Bundi post

office, apparently through the action of dishonest officials.
