Revenues: Collection of Indian States revenues and court fees in a large album, a normal album a

stockbook and loose, from a wide range of states, some proofs, mint/unused examples from states such

as Banganapally, Bhavnagar, Savant Vadi, Kaldar, Morvee, Sikkim, Galior, Idar incl. imperf. between,

Jaisalmer, Limree, etc., the large album with a set(?) of Bhavnagar to 100R in corner marginal blocks of

4 from the archive with punch holes, a lovely lot and ideal for the revenue enthusiast.

Revenues: Accumulation of stamped papers and Court Fee documents from Dewas (40+, still in

original Robson Lowe folder from 1973), a dozen from Tonk, Jodhpur (with duplication), Sirohi, several

Bhopal, Bastar, Alwar, Barwani, Dholpur, Dunagapur, Mewar, Gwalior, plenty of Jaipur and plenty of

Bikaner and even a few Nepal.

Septinsular Republic: 1805 (August 28) entire written in Greek, addressed in Italian from the Patrichio

correspondence, bearing black handstamp POSTA SETTINSULARE CORFU applied on arrival. Zaphiriou

reports that there are 30 surviving entires from the Septinsular Republic.

1819-46, group of five covers from UK incl. 1819 entire to Corfu bearing unframed Liverpool 206

despatch date stamp, with annotation bottom left “Via Malta/ double only”, red manuscript “3/3” at

triple rate, somewhat unclear arrival with manuscript “18” t centre for local charge, some slight faults

from horizontal crease, 1840 entire from London to Corfu endorsed “Par Trieste”, travelling through

France, 1845 and 1846 covers from Worcester to Corfu the first endorsed “not paid” and the latter with

red PAID and 1846 Tunbridge Wells to Corfu mourning envelope endorsed “Mediterranean Steamer”

and “Via Southampton”, good to fine group, plus a cover from UK to USA with contents regarding the

crops on the Ionian islands.
