a ‘ghosting’ of the frame, particularly noticeable to the right of the word ‘TRANSVAAL’ on the lower
stamp, very similar to a 3d illustrated and reported in the June 1951 issue of the SA Philatelist where it
was described as a ‘double print’, very fine and most unusual.

on arrival in Cape Town by ms pen “Cape Town” with signature, 1/2d postal stationery card to London,
undelivered, taxed and with returned letter office ds, and uprated 1/2+1/2d reply paid card from
Roodeport to German East Africa via Mozambique, Zanzibar and arriving Pangani, an interesting group.
