1841 2d blue used group in a “Christmas tree” shape, comprising a fine four margin single, followed by
a pair, then strips of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and a complete row of 12. Margins touched in places, the
strips of 8 and 10 have MC cancels, a wonderful and attractive group, very difficult to assemble.

full deckle edge on two sides showing part inscription “PRICE 2d. Per Label. 2/- Per Row of 12. £2
Per Sheet... Place the Labels ABOVE the addrefs and Tow” and additionally showing the plate number
“3”, each stamp overprinted “SPECIMEN” large part original gum; some wrinkling or faults though a
magnificent block, and a major exhibition rarity.
