1853 10d red-brown, die 3 ww, marginal block of four from the left of the sheet, good margins all round,
large part original gum and displaying lovely fresh colour; light horizontal fold in between impressions,
though in no way detracting from the fine appearance of this incredibly rare block (S.G. Spec. £75’000).

1854 6d mauve in a superb mint vertical block of six, jut touched to clear margins all round, with large
part original gum, folded through the top pair and corner crease at lower right though not affecting
the fine appearance of this stunning exhibition show piece, a great rarity, being the largest and finest
block known in private hands.

1854 (Mar) envelope sent registered from Gloucester to Macclesfield with Embossed 6d (cut round and
just cut into at left) and 1841 1d red (just shaved at top), very neatly cancelled by “312” numerals with
despatch ds below and arrival bs, a very clean and fresh cover.
