to Portugal franked 10r and 50r from Pernambuco, 20r with shades unused and group of fine used,
1871 entire with three red-lilac adhesives tied Pernambuco dotted handstamps to Portugal, piece in
combination with 80r cancelled framed CAZA.BRANCA handstamp, further piece with pair in combination
with 60r upright numeral, 1869 entire to Portugal with horizontal strip of three with only one stamp tied,
this by Pernambuco cds and violet Portuguese Transatlantico date stamp, 50r block of four used, single
with plate flaw top left used (RHM 25DIII), 1875 creased envelope to England franked perforated 20r.,
50r. and 200r. together with rouletted 100r., 80r horizontal strip of three used, 1866 cover front with 20r.,
80r. and 100r. cancelled blue framed AMPARO, 100r block of six used, 1868 single franking entire, 200r
with pair on part 1875 entire to Paris and on a complete cover to Paris with blue Petropolis cancels, 500r
block of four used, four examples on piece with two 1881 200r and 1883 Boris Freres front with strip of
four 500r together with 1881 200r, a fine group (68 stamp items and 7 complete covers).

1866 Dom Pedro II 50r with plate flaw “chapa quebrada” broken plate at top left corner on rare strong
bluish paper, unused, fine, unpriced in unused condition (we estimate it should be around US$14’000),
a rarity of Brazilian stamps (RHM 25D III B).

1866 Dom Pedro perforated 500r orange in reconstructed strip of eight (the first and last two stamps
re-attached) showing single straight-line black manuscript PETROPOLIS in lower case letters, a truly
dramatic item; ex Koester.

1878 registered opened-out envelope to Napoli, Italy franked perforated 500r on front and imperf 200r
on reverse, red registration handstamps, the 500r with pen cancel and the 200r barred handstamp,
blue Cangossu despatch cds with day of month altered/enhanced by hand, Rio Grande transit, Spezia
and Morano Calabro arrivals of 6 Ott; some small faults to envelope, attractive.

on enire, 80r. hinged mint and used (5), used pair and part cover with vertical strip of three together
with a 200r, 100r block of four hinged o.g. with some toning, used (2) and 1878 cover to France with
10r., 50r. and pair 100r., 200r used (6), a pair, a 1878 entire with single franking, five further singles
with parts American Bank Note imprint and a 1877 pair on cover with part imprint, 1881 cover with
200r bisect entire from S.J. De Leohissa to Rio, signed Diena and Bolaffi, with BPA Cert (1966), 500r
unused and used (5) plus pair used; fair to fine condition.
