1953 Tribute to the United Nations group of 18 black proofs, each for a different circular design on

white paper with pencil notations, for the later issued set with denominations from 3c to 5cor. A lovely

and scarce addition to enhance any Nicaragua collection.

1954 National air force Commemoration 4c. B-24 Bomber imperf proof, a right-hand marginal plus a

further imperf proof of vignette only, both with small archival punch hole. Both items from Christie’s

Waterlow Archive auction where stated ‘Only one sheet of 50 existed’, fine mint never hinged.

Air Post: 1925-36 Airmail collection on pages in old Oriel binder with a range of the overprinted issues,

mostly mint, incl. the scarce 1936 10c on 20c with overprint reading down (Scott C135) fine mint and on

cover, overprint varieties, covers incl. 1925 S.C.A.D.T.A. to Guatemala etc. Interesting and useful material.

Air Post: 1929-36 The Maxwell exhibition collection of mint airmails written up and presented on pages

in a binder with comprehensive mint coverage of the various overprinted sets including (in many cases),

quantities printed and with many listed (and some unlisted) varieties. Of note, 1931 C9-C13, C10

with variety “large P.A.A.” (only 6 can exist) and C9a “1391” variety (4 printed), each signed Kessler,

1932 35c on 50c C27a “Valc” error (7 printed) and C30a (each with A.P.S. cert). The 1932 overprints

C32-C39 varieties incl. the unique and only intact sheets of the 3c C34ab with overprinted inverted and

imperf between; (cert A.P.S.) and the 32c on 50c C45d the with imperf between. Also included, 1935

C135; (cert A.P.S.) and plenty more varieties, some with certs etc. Running throughout are covers, with

some first flights incl. 1929 Panama to Nicaragua signed by the 2 pilots and 1930 Lindbergh Puerto

Cazebas to Miami. Built by one of foremost philatelists of Nicaraguan material (and publisher of the

famous handbook), this superb collection presents a great opportunity to acquire some unique and

many other very scarce items.
