standing, holding javelin and sacrificing at altar, with garuda standard in left field, Brahmi inscription Samudra below
his left arm, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: goddess Lakshmi enthroned, holding diadem and cornucopia,
Brahmi inscription at right, tamgha left, dotted border around. Kumar TOTGE 2024, Class II. VF with well-defined

Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.65 g. (21 mm). Obverse: ‘lion slayer’ type; king with one foot
placed on lion to right and shooting an arrow directly into its mouth. Reverse: Lakshmi riding lion, holding long-
stemmed lotus flower in her right hands, with Brahmi legend to right. Kumar TOTGE 2024, Class III, variety A.
An action-packed coin, with the obverse showing the king placing a foot on the lion and shooting an arrow directly
into its mouth, and the reverse with Lakshmi riding a roaring lion like a horse. A very rare type.
VF, struck from rusty dies, details rather clear, die cracks on the edge. Ex Chand Collection 2.02.02

beaded lace and tailed tunic over loin cloth and leggings standing with head turned left, of the Garuda standart
only the top is shown. Reverse: Goddess holding twice-coiled diadem sits in lalitasana pose on lotus with right leg
pendant, which is shown upwards (this is an unusual and very artistic feature. Reverse legend srivikramah. Kumar,
TOTGE 2024, Class III, variety 1. Raven, CG2/Group 3. This coin features slender king wearing cap with beaded lace
and tailed tunic over loin cloth and leggings. Only part of Garuda standard is in view. Goddess seated on lotus,
holding fillet in outstretched right hand and long-stemmed lotus in lowered left hand, with legend srivikkramah.
