1050
Kushanas, Shaka, c. mid-4th century, AV dinar, 7.70 g. (19 mm). Obverse: Shaka, standing facing, head with halo
left, wearing conical decorated hat, sacrificing over altar and holding staff, trident with ribbons to left, with Brahmi
inscription Shaka at right, sita under arm. Reverse: Ardoksho enthroned, facing, holding garland and cornucopia,
tamgha left. A coin from the time of uncertain Kushan late chronology, it is thought that Shaka was one of the last

appearing under the king’s left arm.
