Post Gupta, Bengal, Khadga kings of Samatata, anonymous issue, c. 575-625, AV dinar, 5.79 g. (21 mm). Obverse:
stylized representation of the archer type, king standing left, holding bow in left hand and arrow in right, standard
surmouned by conch shell at left, border of dots. Reverse: Lakshmi standing right, holding lotus in both hands, cloak
flying behind; illegible inscription to right, within inner circle, all in dotted border around. Kumar TOTGE 2024, 18.7.
AboutEF, with even lustre across the coin on both surfaces, excellent details. A superb example that differs from similar
types by having no star to the right of the king’s head and with the inner circle around Lakshmi in the reverse. Very rare.

facing on recumbent Bull facing to left, Brahmi legend Jaya below the bull at right, with moon at upper left. Reverse:
Goddess Lakshmi nimbate, seated cross-legged on a lotus holding a lotus in left hand and two elephants are pouring
water over her. A very rare issue. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, 18.4.2, Class I.
VF, reasonably well-defined features on a crude strike, thick flan; some striking bluish toning to the obverse. Ex Chand
