Corfu, two 1834 entires to same addressee in Corfu, each with Paxo scroll despatch of 12 July and 12

October, circular Paxo Posta Pagata prepayment handstamps with manuscript “1” for postage to Corfu,

Corfu black scroll arrival cancels each of next day, cert. Simmermacher (2007) for first entire; 1847 (5

June) outer letter sheet to Santa Maura endorsed “Raccomandata” at top, Corfu scroll despatch and

double circle Posta Pagata prepayment mark with manuscript “2” for regular postage, as usual with this

early registered mail no indication of charge or payment given; 1843 (23 July) entire from Zacynthos to

Corfu with despatch scroll date stamp and arrival on reverse, the despatch cancel showing inverted “3”

in “23”; 1835 (31 October) entire from the “Agente Consolare di Francia in Cefala” to a Mr Gautier, the

French Consul for the Ionian Islands, in Corfu with black Cephalonia scroll on reverse, two Corfu scroll

cancels on front from next day, at top manuscript “Servicio Reggio” manuscript and a blacked-out area

that may have named the ship; and 1835 (13 May) entire to Corfu bearing circular Officio Della Posta di

Cefalonia seal with central portrait now faded out, below red manuscript “4” for rate to Corfu, Cefalonia

despatch scroll on reverse and Corfu arrival of following date on front.
