Booklet: 1928 2s specimen booklet (panes with bars and adverts on selvedge) produced by the General
Post Office department, complete with punch hole and each pane cancelled “9.NOV 1926 GENERAL
POST OFFICE, WELLINGTON”. The first booklet of this kind we have seen so far. Exhibition item.

Collection: 1855-1975 fine and comprehensive collection in 2 Lindner albums featuring a particularly
fine showing of over 70 used Chalons. We note (with 4 margins unless otherwise stated) 1855 2d dull
blue SG 2 signed Alcuri (Cat. £750), 1d red SG 4 (Cat. £2500), 2d single and pair, 1/- green SG 6 with
small corner crease (Brandon cert) (Cat. £4000), 1857 1d, 3 x 6d shades and 2 x 1/- (Cat. £1900 each),
1882 issues to 1/- (strip of 3) and the so called “Jeffery” forgery. The perforated issues incl. values
to 1/- (5) and 3d 118a imperforate single (Brandon cert), then 1875-82 issues incl. 1878 5/-, with
1898 set to 5/- mint. Used coverage follows with better mint throughout, incl. 1899 and 1902, 1906
Christchurch set, 1931 Smiling Boy, 1935 and 1936 sets, 1953 set, Health sheets etc. Back of book
includes useful used Officials to 5/- (SG O67), 1936 to 5/- and Centenary mint, Postal Fiscals used with
some mint incl. £1, used Stamp Duty to £1 etc. A superb collection.
