Kushanas, Vasudeva I, c. 190-230, AV dinar, 7.89 g. (20 mm). Obverse: Vasudeva with halo, jeweled triangular helmet,
and diadem, standing facing, head left, sacrificing over altar to left, holding trident with ribbons to right, Bactrian legend
around. Reverse: Oesho with three heads standing facing without indication of halo, holding a garland or diadem in
extended right hand and trident in left; behind, the bull Nandi standing left, Bactrian OHÞO to left, tamgha to right.
A very interesting type featuring Oesho with three heads and two arms.

in full armour, standing facing, head left, flames emanating from right shoulder, holding trident, sacrificing over altar
to left; trident with ribbons to left, Bactrian legend ÞAONANOÞAO BAZOΔHO KOÞANO (king of kings, Vasudeva
Kushan). Reverse: Oesho standing facing, holding a garland or diadem in extended right hand and trident in left;
behind, the bull Nandi standing left, Bactrian OHÞO to right, tamgha to upper left.

Kushanas, Kanishka II, c. 230-247, AV dinar, 7.46 g. (19 mm). Obverse: Kanishka, standing facing, head left, sacrificing
over altar and holding staff with ribbon; trident with ribbon to left, Bactrian inscription around. Reverse: Ardoksho
enthroned, facing, holding diadem and cornucopia, Bactrian APΔOXþO, Ardoksho, to right, tamgha left, within
dotted border.
On this rare coin, Kanishka II re-introduces the goddess of plenty, Ardoksho, a common depiction on coins of
Kanishka I and Huvishka.
VF-EF, minor flan flaws on the edge, lustre shows through, good details. Ex Chand Collection 1.3.22
