rides horse to right, holding no weapons. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo seated to left on wicker stool, holding lotus
flower and long, wavy diadem, legend to right ajitamahendrah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class I, variety C, 1. Raven, KG1/
group 10.

Lakshmi seated on wicker stool, holding lotus flower and feeding peacock, legend to right ajitamahendrah. Kumar,

Gupta Empire, Chandragupta III, c. 450-455, AV dinar, 8.46 g. (18 mm). Archer type: Special features: king with halo
standing forward and with head turned to left, wearing necklace and long-tailed tunic over loin cloth, crescent
between king and Garuda. Goddess with halo, left hand resting on knee with long-stemmed lotus flower and diadem
in right hand. Legend śrīvikkramaḥ. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class III, T, 2 (attributed to Chandragupta II). Raven, CG3/
Group 2. The type and weight suggest attribution to Chandragupta III, but Kumar ascribes it to Chandragupta II.
EF, attractive and well-defined king figure, a pleasing reverse with high-relief inscription, a series of minor cracks
