the sheet showing plate number “4” and inscription “price 2d. Per Label. 2/- Per Row of 12, £1.~.~ Per
Sheet. Place the La”, with TA showing shifted transfer, TB right-hand roller lines, TC worn Plate, large
part original gum, TA just touched at extreme upper-left, TD a little cut into and ragged at right, TB
with vertical crease and TC with black mark at top, nevertheless a fine and an exceptionally rare and
important plate number item, accompanied by the same strip neatly cancelled by 1844 type “180” for
Chester, TA with pressed vertical crease.
A magnificent matched pair perfect for exhibition.
Expertise: Cert BPA (2013) for the mint strip.
