Kushanas, Kanishka III (probably), c. 267-270, AV dinar, 7.75 g. (20 mm). Obverse: king standing facing, head left,

sacrificing over altar and holding staff; trident to left, Bactrian inscription around. Reverse: Ardoksho enthroned with

feet on lotus, facing, holding cornucopia and diadem, Bactrian inscription to right, tamgha left, within dotted border.

VF, struck from a worn die, smooth surfaces, some lustre shows through. Ex Chand Collection British Museum no 1.4.22.

with conical helmet, sacrificing over altar and holding staff; trident to left, Bactrian inscription around. Reverse: Ardoksho

enthroned, facing, holding cornucopia and diadem, Bactrian inscription to right, tamgha left, dottted border encircling.

An exceedingly scarce quarter issue of King Kanishka III, with nothing similar listed on Coinarchives.

About EF, lustre shows through, well-defined features. Some die cracks along the circumference of the edge. Ex

conical helmet, sacrificing over altar and holding staff; trident to left, Bactrian inscription around and additional

Brahmi letter vasu in right field. Reverse: Ardoksho enthroned, facing, holding cornucopia and diadem, inscription to

right, tamgha left, all within dotted border.
